I have something else to add -- I believe the problem with these 4 cycle bikes "bogging" out after riding them for a considerable time is due to vapor lock -- these 4 cycle engines get hot after a while, and the gas boils before it gets to the carb -- a bigger fuel filter might help -- and getting the fuel lines away from the engine would certainly help. I had an old motor home that had the same problem. It took me forever to figure out the problem. They advertize these bikes to go 45 out of the box (Viza's add) and they are the only moped type 50cc bikes that make that claim. I believe with some high performance additions it is going to be a formidable little -- d***, I don't know what to call it -- it isn't a moped -- is it a motor scooter? -- but scooters are something else -- I'm confused lol -- what's new :-)

Try wrapping the fuel lines in heat wrap or something heat resitant. That will help will vapor lock.

Okay people, I am a reformed man. I just took my QT-9 back to Viza. For over a month I tried to make it happen, but you are right -- it is a piece of dog doo. Chinese stuff is just like Brandon and everyone else said it was -- cheap, immitation crap! I went out today and bought a Ruckus -- what a difference! I paid more than twice as much for the Honda, but it is worth twice as much. First of all, I couldn't get the QT-9 to idle. I sent the carb back to Viza twice, and then I changed out the spark plug and the fuel filter and put a new valuve on the gas tank. The second time I recieved the carb in the mail -- we put it on (and I am talking me and a certified mechanic) and it started, and it was running perfectly, but when I tried to shut it off -- nothing happened -- it wouldn't shut off -- I finally killed it by stalling it out -- and then it wouldn't start again -- apparently, the magnito shorted out, and there was no way it was going to run again. I can't say enough about Viza. They were great about it all -- I did have to drive from Vegas to Scotsdale to give it back to them, but they understood, and they ended up giving me my money back -- they had other Tanks in boxes, and I thought they would just give me a different one, but they told me I would probably just have the same probs with a new one, and they gave me my money back. It was interesting meeting the people I had been on the phone with so many times and knowing they were real people, and that they cared. It is also sweet that I got my money back -- I went out today and bought a Ruckus -- it cost more than twice as much as the Tank, but I am sure it is worth the extra cash. It goes nearly 50, and it is obviously built to last -- the guy told me I could do wheelies, but I haven't tried yet (will get back to you) It does start up and go, and it goes faster and smoother than that Tank ever had a chance. I want to apologize to Brandon (once again) and whoever else I may have slighted by being a non-believer, because they were right -- CHINESE STUFF IS CRAP!!! I tried to tighten up a mirror and stripped the threads before I could even get it tight. It was crap! I did get the Tank running for a while, but it didn't even get close to going 45MPH, about 30 was the max, and I could never get it to idle -- I learned that when Tank put out the 2005 model, they called it a 49.9CC, but what they had actually done was put a 70CC engine in them -- that's why they could advertize that they would do 45MPH --and that is why I bought it, but sometime before the 2006 model came out they were founf-out (some DMV took one apart and measured things I guess) that is why the 2006 is such a piece of crap. No more 70CC. Viza isn't selling them anymore, and thank God they didn't just give me another one for a replacement -- there were five or six of them in boxes there in their shop. They were honest, respectful, and had the integrety to give me back my money. I didn't have to come back in here and tell you all this, but I felt compelled because I was so strong minded before, and I WAS WRONG -- sorry! If you want to hear the whole story, or just chat -- my number is 702 434-6517 --give me a call.
