or is the qt5 better?
I'm looking for a somehat inexpensive scooter that can perform within my city, climb hills, have good gas mileage, reasonable speed, reliable operation, and not have lots of unforeseeable problems.
It's a matter of transportation. I'm selling my car and I want something that can still get me around town that I wont have to pay lots for gas and insurance.
How has these scooters performed for you? was it really a worthy investment and something that you use often and trustingly?
furthermore, what are some other good scooters that are made for city transportaion that are as reasonably priced as the tanks (if any)? If no local dealers sell scooters is the internet a reliable place to purchase (and how much extra is shipping for something as large as a scooter)? And where are some good places to buy that are reliable and helpful?
Thanks.

im not to sure about that, but from the other people on here it doesnt seem like there the best... if you want to pay 2000$ for a honda ruckus it can move you up to 40 mph or ~3000$ will get you a Honda Big Ruckus that goes 45-50

I'm not looking for the best out there...just something that is pretty reliable...
What problems do people most often experience with this scooter? are they major or minor problems? in other words if you knew the problems that would have to be confronted, would you have bought it in the first place?
also, 2000 is a bit much and it would be nice to have something reliable and decent for 1500 or lower, any ideas?
thanks.

I just bought a QT-9 -- I looked around at a ton of scooters, and the QT-9 LOOKS like the best deal. I was going to get a QT-5, but the QT-9 is longer, faster and looks better. I just hope it is reliable. I was wondering if anyone who has had one for a while can reply. How many miles do you have on your's? Have you had major problems? Did you know you can get performance parts at: www.rabbitscooters.com/products/prod130_parts.htm -- Has anyone souped up one of these scooters? Sorry, a lot of questions. I am just excited, lol -- take care.

Why is evryone so down on Chinese products? They use the same materials as everyone else, they are brilliant at copying other people's products, and they can produce things cheap because of the low labor costs. I think it is just a fear of the unknown -- and reading all the posts in here made me realize most people don't have a clue. I will post the unfolding story of my new Tank Qt-9. I can't wait until it arrives :-)

no Sporty he's not. Chinese engines AND scooters are CHEAP CRAP. the welds are not right, the metal isnt strong, they make it wrong.. they produce no power right. Only the good brands wont break in the first day. Also, Sporty you shouldn't talk to mods like that. We try to help you out. Lay off the bad stuff. We come on here to learn & teach while also makeing friends. Just dont start the wrong way. Your welcomed on here. Thank You

seriously -- I know what you are saying -- I just winder what experience you have to come to that conclusion. Jap stuff can break just as easily as German stuff -- Chinese stuff is just coming onto the market -- I can't believe that they use shody materials on purpose -- it is already less expensive for them to produce things because of the extreme low labor costs. I have a friend who went to China to sell something -- they were willing to buy it as long as they could produce it themselves -- they wouldn't just buy the product -- they wanted the machinery and plans and expertise to produce it themselves. I have a lot of respect for the Chinese -- they are smarrt little guys :-)

I don't know you -- I respect the fact that you are here trying to help people, but your exclusive attitude leaves something to be desired -- only my opinion :-)
