My VIZA VENOM scooter tank is getting cracked because of strong sun lights beaming down everyday. Where I can buy gas tank from? Thanks!

Hello, I just had this problem and here's what I did... It looks great and works perfect! If you didn't know already, the original tank for the Venom is no longer available so you have to find something comparable and make it work. The cheapest place I could find a tank was at Joe's ATV Parts & Service link here: www.joesatvpartsandservice.com/gastanks.htm Scooter gas tank part number 129-4. Total including shipping was $21.99. This tank came with new fuel lines and fuel filter already attached. I then went to Lowe's and looked around for awhile and purchased from the lumber/framing supplies the following, 51774 LSTA12 12" Flat Strap for 92 cents plus tax. This is a 12" metal strap with holes used for framing. I was able to line up left hole with hole on scooter and then I had to mark where the other holes were needed for the gas tank since it's mounting holes were wider than the original tank. I ended up drilling 2 holes into this strap to mount the tank. I used the original mounting screws to mount the metal strap to the frame and then I purchased from Lowes part 136963 3/8X.171X1 NYLN SPCR CT for 56 cents, which was a package of 2 white nylon spacers, I only used one of these on the left side of the tank to frame assembly because of the shape of the tank. I also used parts 57850 HM 8-32X3 ROUND STEEL MAC for 98 cents and parts 137433 NYLN INSRT LCNT #8-32 C for 68 cents. These last two parts were the bolts and nuts used for connecting the tank to the metal strap. The bolt on the left had to be longer than on the right because of the way the tank was made. I just used the above bolts on both sides and then used locking nuts for security. I had some washers laying around that I used as well, but you wouldn't necessarily have to use the washers, I did just because I already had them. After everything was attached I cut off the extra length on both sides of the tank. Everything looks professional and the tank works great. Hope this helps others trying to figure out what to do about this common problem.
