I have a keyang ky171 and when i bought it, it had a bad coil. I tried two generic ignition coils from ebay for pocket bikes (62mm bolt hole spacing) and had to drop their bolt holes a bit with a dremmel to clear the magneto. This didnt work at all because the coil windings internally are prolly set up for a stronger magneto. one of them gave a weak spark. Just before i was about to buy one from the only website i could fine that sold it (vizamotors, 75$), i tried one more coil from ebay. This coil is from a homelite 4000b string trimmer. The ebayer listed this model number (GM-40039-2). It appears to be identical to the factory one. I had to drop the mount holes a bit with a dremel again but it works flawlessly through all rpms, and it only cost me 20$!
this info was also listed if anyone can make sense of it (other models it fits i guess) 4000b UT-26023-->Ignition 4000b UT-26023-A-->Ignition 4000j UT-26022-->Ignition 4000j UT-26022-A-->Ignition
I searched for a long time to find this product. If anyone can find the factory coil for cheaper they should post here as well!
