Use 40:1 for the gas/oil ratio with either synthetic or regular 2-stroke oil.

I use opti-2 cycle oil, it works with any ratio because its by how hot the engine runs not by the amount needed and you only put in 1.8 oz per gallon and that will give you really good over all performance, and it causes no build up, no smoke and the thing I like about it is you can barley smell the exhaust, but its expensive and hard to find.

I have the V2 for my daughter. Are you saying that you run 50:1 ratio event though the manual says 32:1. I do think that would eliminate alot of smoke and smell, but will it hurt the engine.
Thanks

well the VIZA MOTORS one says 32:1 but my specific engine manual that came with it said 50:1 so i use 50:1 but you can use 40:1 or 32:1 it doesnt matter but the lower the number the more oil is used with the gallon of gas

i just fill the bottom of a small gas tank of synthetic oil and fill rest with gas for my V2, and give it a few extra turns on the gas control screw to allow for a little faster speed.
if ur engin makes weird sounds at full throt, then turn it back half a turn til it sounds good. then turn the screw on top of carb down til it idles good, too much will give u poor gas milage, too little will cut engin
