They allow more fresher and cooler air to be scooped up through the flywheel and then blown through the cylinder for better cooling.

But on go-peds the fan cove/ flywheel are on the outter part of the scooter, but on vizas the fan cover is bolted to the tranny and the fly wheel has a clutch on it, although they could make a fan cover with some kind of scoop built into it that won't allow air from the flywheel get out, but they dont run that hot.

What happens if I cut lightned my flywheel. Will it allow me to rev a little higher and gain just a little bit of power. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

To get more low end power you can have the cylinder ported or make a boost bottle.
The pipe will sort of do that to, but you have to wait till you hit the powerband.

I can fully port an engine with diamond tip on my dremel and I did to my 49cc and yeah it hits a power band right as I give it a little gas.
The reason I know how to do this is because I went to a goped hobby shop and saw some ported cylinder on display and I saw how it was done, and so I tryed it and it seems to have worked.
