A boost bottle is an empty homeade bottle that is made out of PVC pipe. There are ADA "juicebox" boost bottles out there that replace the manifold/insulator of your carb. But those only work on the engines they are made for and cost a bit of $$$. A homeade boost bottle consists of 2, 1/8" brass nipple/barb that one will go into the top of your carb manifold. (drilling a hole is required) A piece of small tubing: fishtank air line or fuel line will work. And the bottle itself made of a piece of PVC pipe and 2 PVC endcaps, one of which will have the other nipple/barb in it. The bottle needs to be 2x the displacement of the engine or you can do it the lazy way and use a 4" long piece of 3/4" diameter PVC pipe. (which means you will need 3/4" endcaps) The hole in the manifold needs to be carefully driled so that when you break through to the hollow part of it, you don't bump into the other side and put a dent in it. (this is a fuel/air transfer area so smoothness is a key factor) The boost bottle is a resivoir to hold the fuel/air mix while the piston is closing off the intake port before it enters the engine. It will give you better low end power and a better idle. Maybe even 1-2 more mph of speed.

Where did you learn to do this and is it a certified way of getting more power/speed?
